A year after the destruction of the first community garden we created in Hempstead, volunteers gathered in an attempt to establish a 2nd. Even though this garden was later destroyed by the village of Hempstead, like the first, the outpouring of support from the community was incredible. Hundreds of people came out from the Hempstead community, hoping to make the space more beautiful for all.
