Vegan Thanksgiving Bonanza 2016

Starting, November 19th and going on through November 28th, Community Solidarity, Inc. will be organizing its largest endeavor to date; it will include parties, Food Shares, copious amounts of decadent meals, the sharing of clothing, books and the organized efforts of hundreds of community members.

This is our tenth annual Thanksgiving Bonanza! Our goal is to share a smorgasbord of vegan hot meals, groceries, winter clothing and Thanksgiving supplies with over 10,000 people in the week before, and the week after Thanksgiving, but we need your help to make this happen.

On Sunday, November 19th, Community Solidarity will be organizing its annual Vegan Thanksgiving Bonanza. It's the world's largest Vegan Thanksgiving, it's free, and anyone in need of food or clothing is welcome! All are welcome to volunteer.

Sharing hundreds of thousands of pounds of vegetarian groceries and vegan hot meals with the hungry every week - Community Solidarity proves that ending hunger and saving animals can go hand-in-hand. Learn how this plantbased movement is empowering communities to overcome poverty while improving the health of thousands. Then learn how you can help people, animals and the earth.

Our Philosophy.

Battling Waste and Want

Printed on April 24th, 2014 in Newsday, "LI Food Not Bombs offers free vegetarian food shares" written by CLAUDIA GRYVATZ COPQUIN

"There, volunteers set up the food on long tables and share it, along with fresh flowers, used clothing, books, seeds, toys and school supplies, with anyone who wants it. No money is ever exchanged. Social service agencies are not involved. No one on the food line is asked for documentation, their name or income."
